-2- Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited. 4th June, 1937. aware that the S.A.E. machine is not yet available. A certain number of experimental machines have been made. We have had to rely upon some of our friends who have been fortunate enough to obtain these machines to make the tests of Hypoy for us, until the one which we have on order is delivered. Incidentally, we placed our order months ago. We are afraid that we must content ourselves at the moment with saying that Hypoy has met with the approval of those motor car manufacturers in the U.S.A. who are demanding what they prefer to describe as High Hypoid Gear Lubricants. According to the S.A.E. tentative specification, the lubricant should stand a minimum of 550 lbs. We believe that the full limit of the S.A.E. machine is 600 lbs. Hypoy will withstand the upper safe limit of the machine. Yours faithfully, C. C. WAKEFIELD & Co. LIMITED. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} Evans CHIEF CHEMIST | ||
