OUR REFERENCE ECM/EH.

31st March 1926.

Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

For the attention of Mr.E.Fowler Clark.

Dear Sirs,

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter reference EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T of the 30th instant, and take this opportunity of thanking you for kindly affording us an opportunity to examine an Exide battery after life test, and also to study the report drawn up on comparative tests.

The question of more durable ebonite has already engaged our close attention, as we are confident that the battery would have given still better results if the ebonite had not deteriorated prematurely.

We very much appreciate your suggestion that two cells from the battery be returned to the Works for further investigation, and trust that you will favour us to this further extent.

Yours faithfully,
THE CHLORIDE ELECTRICAL STORAGE COMPANY LTD.

E C McKinnon

Chief Engineer.
