For the attention of Mr. Skinner.

Dear Mr. Skinner,

We keep getting criticised for the appearance of some of the S.U. carburetters we fit on our cars. We have a good looking set for the 40/50 which we bring out when we want to demonstrate them to anyone and we wonder whether it would be possible to get the same finish on the 1 1/4" model you are going to send us for our small engine. If you could possibly beautify this carburetter we should be very much obliged.

We think it would be a good idea if you quoted us a price for this carburetter and we will pass you an official order as our obligations to you are getting rather heavy for my shoulders to bear.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
