To D/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from G/Rb.{R. Bowen} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HDY.{William Hardy} FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} 350 G/Rb.{R. Bowen}5/K/72/W.12437. Steering Cam Tube. - Sec. 7050. ---------------------------- We have investigated the cost of producing the Phantom III Steering Cam Tube, in accordance with LEC.5601, also to modified scheme as per sketch by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HDY.{William Hardy} On comparison with the Phantom III Standard Cam. Tube F89122, we find the built up tube to LEC.5601 shows an estimated saving in factory cost of 9/8d. per chassis. The modified scheme to sketch Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HDY.{William Hardy} which shows the taper ends allows a further saving in factory cost of 1/4d. per chassis. In each case we have considered the top portion of the tube as being produced from bar material. G/Rb.{R. Bowen} Blick | ||
