contd :- -2- Mr. Stent has sent a report by express air mail to R.{Sir Henry Royce} about test No.2., signed and sealed by RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} and myself so you will know all about this before you get my note. FOOT BRAKES ON 7-0-11 CAR. 4U259 We have not left working on this, neither have we found out much about it yet to tell you. We have affected a vast improvement in the groaning and squeaking by tight-ening up the side play of the shoes. We still have very slight groaning when the car is lightly being pulled up to a dead stop. The efficiency remains remarkably good with the wrapping shoe slightly leading. We have not get the Commercial Condor yet, but may do on Thursday. Ha/TMW. | ||
