To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X3579 Dal/M30.6.23. 40/50 VACUUM FEED. X.3579 X.3575 X.3503. Mr. Royce wishes to try experimentally and temporarily a vacuum pump on the petrol system, to see whether it is prefer-able to get a pump to do the work of the Autovac system entirely, and also supply the engine under the conditions in which the Autovac fails. We do not know of any vacuum pump which you can buy, and we should like you to make enquiries, and see whether there is one available which could be temporarily fitted. We estimate that this pump does not need to be a very large one, and that one about the size of the power pressure pump would be sufficient. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
