Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/AM.1/HP.8.1.36. 25-30 Brake Linkage and Undersheets. The use of the Bentley crankcases and clutch casing on the 25-30 raises the position of the front brake differential cross-shaft and would cause the brake ropes to the front axle to foul the dust guards in the gearbox undersheet front end plate. Also, on the near side, the rope would foul the engine guard in the region of the bulge for the starter motor. To obviate this we propose raising the dust guards which involves altering the position of the pierced holes in G.54580 - the front end plate. Also we have put a local dent in the underside of the L.H. engine guard, which we understand can be done as an additional operation without scrapping the existing forming tools. This is shown on N.Sch.4730 which we send you herewith. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
