Re Large Bore Bentley Chassis - Piston - Section 5040. Will you please obtain from the Light Production Co. Ltd., London, a detail drawing of the 3.500 dia. Piston, as recently supplied to the Experimental Dept. incorporating the following modifications:- Skirt lengthened to same length as 3.250 dia. Piston viz. 2.000. Strengthened above Gudgeon Pin Boss and immediately below heat break sawcut. This being the piston we understand that will be required for production, will Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} kindly advise us on this matter. BY/CS. | ||
