LONDON, S.W.1.

For the attention of Mr. Brooks.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 14th inst.,
reference GWT/IR.

We are anxious to obtain a set of 3¾" pistons,
otherwise to the same dimensions as the Bentley, for
experimental purposes. We should like to know -

(1) If you have to make special dies for these
pistons, how long it would be before you could
produce them.

(2) If there is anything approaching this size
which is available, the dies for which we could use for
our experimental pistons.

We agree that the present Bentley gudgeon pin
size is too small for this bore of piston, but for experimental
purposes we are proposing to run the first set of pistons with
this gudgeon pin, to avoid complicating the test.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
