-4- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/KW.4.11.35. The Harrison Radiator Corporation at Lockport, New York, should certainly be visited as their installation is excellent and they are right up to date on the latest oil coolers and radiators. We should like to know why Buicks have dropped their oil cooler. Incidentally, at Buffalo, which is close to Lockport, is the Pierce-Arrow plant, which is worth a visit. Cleveland is not far away from Detroit, and you might with advantage go to see Mr. Ben Hopkins of the Cleveland Graphite Company there. He should be able to give you the "low-down" on the bearing situation. I think in view of our interest in V-8's it is important we should extract any information available from Dearborn. They are a sticky crowd and it is difficult to penetrate into the factory, but I am writing Smith and asking him to get you an introduction if possible. Can you see the Morse Chain Company in Detroit, and tell them that our Cadillac Chain stretched 5/8" in 15,000 miles and we are disgusted with it. I see I have a letter from Mr. Kishline of the Graham-Paige Co., dated April 24th of last year, in which he says he expects to be able to damp out the master period on the 6. You might check up and see how successful he has been. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
