L.O.D.'S FOR R.III.

In order to give production something to work on with regard to the intended specification for R-III, it is essential that we should get the L.O.D.'s completed based on the parts which are fitted to the 15,000 mile car - O.S.V. These L.O.D.'s will then be worked to in the production of R.S. by the Experimental Dept.

The procedure followed is that all the doubtful parts which are going to be run on this engine should be incorporated in the L.O.D.'s in spite of the fact that their reliability is not proven. The L.O.D.'s will be revised at the completion of the 15,000 miles' test and any parts which have failed will be removed therefrom.

It will be understood by production that the L.O.D.'s we are now evolving will be only tentative for tooling purposes.

will all concerned contact with the Drawing Office Detail Section Leaders and get the L.O.D.'s completed with as little delay as possible.
