AXLE RATIOS FOR PHANTOM CHASSIS INTENDED FOR AMERICA? ************************************************** Referring to BJ2/H.24.2.26. and Rolls Royce of America Inc. letter of February 10th, attached, we do not think it advisable to discuss the pros and cons of the axle ratio with our American Associates, as their conditions would be entirely different from ours. We would suggest that we accept their estimate of the position, which must be based upon the performance of other chassis which they have to figure against, and arrange to carry out their requirements of fitting a 14/52 ratio axle in the future. I propose, with your consent, to instruct the Works accordingly. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
