A.R. Smith, Esq.,
Ford Motor Co.,Ltd.,
Dagenham,
Essex.

Dear Mr. Smith,

When the Lincoln was first produced, we believe the connecting rods used were of the forked type.

We are interested in the economical production of a forked rod for our 12-cylinder car engine, and wonder whether it will be possible for you to let us have details of this rod which you have now abandoned.

Yours sincerely,
