Dear Sirs, ORDER NO. 43164. 2 SPECIAL CAMS OUR M.22519 - AMERICAN PRACTICE BORES Tonight we are despatching to you the two special Cams as above, with the bores machined to the American practice, which, as you know, is broached before hardening, no operation after hardening, and we would take this opportunity of reminding you that it is not practicable for you to fit these cams by your present freezing practice as under the American method the cams must be pressed on to the Inner Columns under a pressure of 8 tons. Detailed drawings of the cams, and also of our standard shaft, have already been sent to you, so that, as far as we know, you are fully equipped with all the necessary data.
