Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}7/KT.4.5.33.

You will have noted my remarks in memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}2/KT.4.5.33. re lubrication of dynamo. It is apparent in service that more frequent lubrication is necessary. Will you please instruct Mr. Walker to alter the lubrication of the dynamo from 2000 miles to 1000 miles.

This may, or may not, cure the trouble of the rear bearing of the dynamo becoming noisy. It appears to be due to heat as the same trouble is on the 25 H.P. and the Phantom.

25 H.P. Engine Gear Rattles.

Cricklewood assured me that they had cured several cars by increasing the spring load on the dynamo shaft brakes by approx. 25%. Is there any reason why this could not be done on production, if not, will you please issue the necessary instructions.

Re. The Brake Blocks.

Cricklewood have found several instances where the slot for the limited movement of the brake block was not sufficient to allow the pressure of the brake pad to operate. We had a similar trouble on the Bensport. Is it possible to make the slot longer to overcome this trouble.

Phantom.
Silencer for Exhaust Heated Throttle.

The drain hole in the silencer does not get rid of the water collected. This causes corrosion to take place. N. say they obtain better results by placing the drain hole in the centre.
