Messrs.Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Date 8.12.28. Page 2 It is undoubtedly necessary to maintain the bell in a vertical position, to get our datum right, as a variation in the angle of this flange of 3° was found to make ½ gallon difference in the calibrations. We are proceeding with our tests with the unit fitted tight up against the baffle, to note whether more rapid pumping is obtained. We remain, dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, H.M.HOBSON,Ltd., E.P.Beavan Joint Managing Director. | ||
