Re. your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.4/AP.20.II.36.

We have had the opportunity while in Paris, of trying 22.G.V. with and without the front roll-bar over pavée surfaces to ascertain any harshness that it may produce.

We are of the opinion that the difference is only very slight and could not immediately be detected unless one is aware of its removal or replacement respectively.

There is a very slight feeling of extra general smoothness at the front at ordinary traffic speeds, but this is cancelled out by the increased chassis vibrations at higher speeds, which the removal of the roll-bar produces, and has the consequent effect upon the steering column whip previously referred to.

The car is still in Sr's hands, who states that he will send his opinion of the suspension as soon as he has compared it with his Trial's car.
