5002. To H.F.Hamilton, Esq., C/O Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. c. to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}18/AP.27.11.36. We note from your Daily Report on 22.G.V. that a considerable oil leak is taking place at the rear axle pinion. We have known occasions on which the nuts retaining the pinion housing have come loose, and we should be glad to know whether this is the case on your car or whether the leak is entirely past the acme thread.
