-2- Contd. The above will provide a normal supply (on S- and S+) from the generator, at all the points mentioned above, when the generator is running and the generator switch is on. It will also supply back, if necessary, to the Expl. Laboratory if for any reason current should be required from this Expl. shop generator. The principal value of the branch connection to the Expl. Laboratory is to supply a special higher or lower voltage of the third wire SV for special requirements at any one point at which a motor is being run. Of the two switchboards which we have at present it is intended that one of these remains in its present position and its terminals permanently connected up to the three main wires of the system. The second one is to be arranged to be movable to the various points as required, securing it to studs let into the wall at these points by [struck through text] butterfly wing nuts, or other suitable method, and its terminals connected to fixed terminals at the point by three flexible links which can be moved about with the board. All the terminal studs will be of our standard battery size which is our standard for connections for currents of the order in question. Generator switchboard to be set out approximately in accordance with the diagram given, in which existing apparatus is indicated. A suitable new board will be required for the mounting of this apparatus. Previous to mounting and installation it is recommended that | ||
