S/W. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. New Type Lucas Headlamps. I have refrained from replying before to your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.8/AP.23.4.37. as I wished to convey the contents of your memo to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} who was enquiring about this matter. We note that you are keeping this matter well under observation and pushing it forward as necessary. It is at least satisfactory to know that we shall have supplies of these lamps available at the Motor Exhibition in October next. We note that you say the lamps give a good driving light. Would you describe that as being better than the present lamp, and how in your view does it compare with the Marchal lamp for driving light ? Would it be possible for us to have a pair of these lamps in London to try, without in any way interfering with your tests and development of this improved type of lamp ? Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} -Ruel | ||
