RE GOSHAWK II. REAR AXLE. X4256

We send herewith N.sch. 1283 showing two proposals for fitting a pad to the lower part of the axle centre box, to receive the tie rod.

Mr. Royce does not mind which one is chosen and would like you to do the one that is easiest.

We should like to know what method was adopted in the case of the old 40/50 back axles with the aluminium centre box and a tie rod.
