Here is a copy of a letter I have sent to Fedden. I do not think we can accuse him of misuse of the clutch. We have to admit that the original Bentley clutch is rather delicate as indicated by a number of complaints on the Quarterly Complaint List. We are going over the job with Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} to see whether it would not be more economical to fit one of the latest type clutches to some of these confirmed clutch destroying customers' cars, rather than repeatedly renew the present standard parts. In Fedden's case I am sure that if we tell him to watch the clutch adjustment, and induce him to fit the lower axle ratio, he will have no further trouble.
