To Sft.{Mr Swift} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} X110 D Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.12/KW.26.6.36. Borg & Beck Clutches. We understand that owing to the shortage of clutches of which the finger setting is within the specified .005", there is a danger of delaying production. In view of this, we suggest that the limit is increased to .010" until the extra deliveries are to hand. We think that it would be wise to keep a record of the clutch setting in each engine so that the clutches can be changed later if we have sufficient satisfactory ones in stock.
