Attention Mr. F.Ll Smith.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 25th inst and note your remarks in connection with Ferodo No.6. material, for use with our Model 10.A3 Clutch as applied to your Bentley chassis, and that you are anxious to try out this material in which the inner row of rivets clinch both facings.

There should be no difficulty in manufacture, but as to whether this construction will give you the results anticipated remains to be seen; would advise that it is impossible for us to employ .165" facing, as the clutch definitely will not accommodate same, and we therefore take it that it will be all in order for us to proceed with the manufacture of two Plates both utilising .125" facings.

With regard to the concluding paragraph of your letter, we would remind you that the .048" material is on order, but it will be another fortnight before we can expect delivery of same, therefore before proceeding with ordering any .072" material, feel that it would possibly be better to await results obtained with the .048".

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.

H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} T. Barker.
