I have seen this owner with reference to the attached. As regards the heat, Mrs Cohen has decided not to have the louvred side engine guards fitted till next Summer, as she considers the hot weather is over for this year, and thinks the heat will be comforting in the cold weather. Now as regards poor tyre mileages, I think there are two reasons that amply account for it, viz:- (1) The Car is overloaded. The Repair Department weighed this Car when it was in the other day and found its weight to be 43 cwts. 1 qr. with no spare tyres, no passengers, and only 5 gallons of petrol in. Usual number of passengers is three or four, excluding the driver. I think one can safely say that the total weight, under running conditions, exceeds Mr Nadin's 47 cwts. (2) They go in for fast driving. The driver says he usually travels at between 35 to 45 m.p.h. Mr Cohen gave me a couple of instances where they averaged about 30 m.p.h. over long distances such as 160 miles.
