Rig testing to chassis component parts.

You will remember that we mentioned to you that we were trying to obtain the services of Bastow, the brother of the Bastow who is at present designing for us, to run our chassis component test rigs.

We interviewed him last week and he is willing to come to us for less than he originally stipulated.

We do feel that now, owing to the fact that we can no longer run continental tests, it is most important that we should make the best possible use of our other equipment, and there is no doubt that actually, if pieces can be tested on rigs, it is a much less costly procedure than running mileage on the road.

We should therefore like to have your agreement that we can take Bastow on our staff.

We have Olley's assurance, with whome Bastow worked for some time, that he is exceptionally proficient in the handling of rigs.
