The Gleason Works,
1,000 University Avenue,
Rochester, N.Y.,
U.S.A.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of November 16th. from Mr. Knowles concerning the pair of hypoid gears we returned for your examination, we are extremely sorry that our letter of November 3rd. was ever written to you. It was due to inaccurate wording of an internal memorandum in this Works, and we have no intention whatever of suggesting you should credit us with the gears which were returned so that you could see them and comment on them.

We hope you will accept this apology.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
