R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2600 ORIGINAL TO EFC. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} S E C R E T. E1/M15. 1. 24. Copy to - OJ. R.{Sir Henry Royce} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. X.41686 ELECTRIC SEQUENCE STARTER. X9650 Referring to EFC2/TL2124., we have already pointed out on Lec.1802. that the drawing is to be re-made to shew more literally the actual design, on which, as a matter of fact the battery positive is on the fixed pole of the switch. We sent through this drawing as it was before memo. R3/M1124. to avoid delaying the patent work, and we have since been forced to temporarily abandon the electrical work owing to the great pressure on EAC.2. Is not the non-inductive resistance in parallel with the actuator circuit rendered largely unnecessary by the fact that the main switch must close before the actuator (teazer) circuit is broken. Furthermore could not the teazer and actuator windings be so proportioned relative to the main winding of the motor as to favour non-sparking at the moment of break.
