In connection with the Commutator Breaker D.CD.986, would you please give this a further test, in which the Earthing Brush DW.867 is made of Phosphor Bronze. During the test it can be lightly lubricated, the purpose of this being to determine whether an all metal brush will completely quench the sparking.

If this is successful, design work will be done to enable the metal brush to be used.
