X350 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/EJH.15/KW.10.9.36. Continental Phantom III Steering. Further to our memos. on the above steering, will you please make the upper end of the steering column, including the controls and steering wheel, but not the control quadrant F.88351, the same as present standard Ph.III. The control quadrant, which weighs 1 lb. 2 ozs., we consider to be unnecessarily heavy. The material of this part is at present forged silver bronze and has a Brinell of 135. Will you please make two of these parts in forged aluminium, which should be equally as hard. The parts should be varnished after engraving to prevent discolouration of the lettering.
