To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. X3860 EFC2/T4.6.26. X.3860. H.T. MACONITE CABLE. Please refer to our EFC3/T28.4.26. with reference to MaconIte H.T. cable. Up to the present chassis 12-EX and 9-GIII have been fitted. With reference to the fitting to further chassis we would like to modify the instruction in such a way as to have each of two other chassis, one 40/50 and one 20 HP., fitted with a 50/50 mixture of standard and MaconIte cables. We suggest that chassis 11-GIII and 8-EX be so fitted, and that alternate cylinders on 8-EX be wired with MaconIte and Glover cable respectively; and similarly for the two sets of ignition on chassis 8-EX, except that in that case the alternate wires should be reversed as between the magneto and the battery ignition, so that to each cylinder there will be one MaconIte and one Glover cable, and to its neighbour, MaconIte and Glover reversed as between the magneto and battery ignition. We shall be pleased if you will have this carried out at the earliest opportunity. We have the MaconIte wire here in readiness and it is much desired that the experiment should not be delayed.
