EAC. CLUTCH. 48300

In the matter of the clutch you did not report on the various modifications to the plate clutch, when we suggested using fabric on the revolving parts. If this fabric could be mounted with duralumin mountings such as a single fabric ring disc with the double duralumin hub centre, we ought to get a clutch which owing to the reduction in the inertia, should be easier to change, and easier to stop. I do not think the single duralumin with fabric on each side would be quite so good, as if the fabric can be made strong enough to be used in a single thickness.

You have also in hand a clutch with a moving plate which should help to make the clutch brake more effective, as well as make a simpler and better clutch.
