Jenner}7/JE.18.10.40. M.40 Engine. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} We send you herewith PL.375 showing the automatic suction advance coupled with the micrometer adjustment. Whether we fit this mechanism or not, the drawing determines the design of the distributor tower and the shape of the rocker cover at the middle which is dented slightly to permit of its removal. The Lucas distributor is model No.DK.4A-0 type G.34 running anti clockwise looking at the top. This is the largest distributor that can be fitted with this layout; we should like a top moulding in which the H.T. wires come out horizontal, we know this could be obtained. It will be noticed that we use all Lucas parts for the suction control, but two of the parts should be modified to suit our requirements. (a) The locating screw in the sheet metal bracket is in a different position. (b) The roll over eye is made below instead of above on the actuating lever. Jnr.{Charles L.
