| THE "BAVOX" AIR PUMP PATENTED The "BAVOX" air pump is of the rotating type and can be used either as an air compressor or as a vacuum pump. It is composed of A a block of four cylinders which turns round a fixed eccentric axis F; holes in the cylinder block communicate with holes in the eccentric axis, thus serving as inlet and exhaust valves. In the cylinder bores the pistons G are actuated by anchor pins fixed rigidly to the casing. When the casing turns it takes with it round the eccentric axis the pistons together with the cylinder group. The area therefore between the bottom of the cylinder and each piston varies according to the position occupied by the cylinder in relation to the eccentric. Longitudinal mouvement of the piston is made possible by allowing end wise movement on the anchor pins D and the stroke of the pistons is twice the ratio of the eccentric. In the bottom of each cylinder is a hole which allows the admission and exhaust of air in accordance with its position in relation to the holes in the eccentric axis. The case is air-tight and forms an oil bath, lubrication is ensured automatically. The oil being submitted to centrifugal force ensures a perfect lubrication of all moving parts. Being entirely enclosed in this case of aluminium the apparatus presents a clean design without projecting parts and takes up little room. The simplicity of the mechanism and valve gear (there being no balls, valves or springs) ensures reliability and perfect functioning. The axis is bored and air is drawn in on one side and delivered via the other without coming into contact with the oil. "BAVOX" COMPRESSORS "BAVOX" TYRE PUMPS Our compressors of all types with deliveries up to 2.000 litres per minute, can be used in industries other than the automobile. Their applications are many. They replace in practically every case systems of fixed compressors distributing air by pipe lines. These latter are difficult to instal and expensive in upkeep. It is easier to wheel a compressor to the work than to move the work to the nearest air cock. Our pumps mounted on trollies are light to handle and have a large field of action either by the use of a long cable lead or by the means of a multiplicity of current plug points. The use of "BAVOX" compressors offers advantages which one would do well to bear in mind. All industries interested in the compression, supercompression and rarefaction of air will find in the "BAVOX" outfits all that they require. These compressors when used as vacuum pumps are capable of creating a vacuum equal to reducing a column of mercury 720 to 730 m/m high. From the manufacturers point of view, our compressors can be employed for a large number of uses.
