C. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} SWDL{Len H. Swindell} CHASSIS - RE: ENGINE TEST. It is evident from H1.4/RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}17.12.37. that we must fit, during all running in operations and the engine dynamometer test, a Tecalemit filter between the oil pump and the main bearings. I appreciate this will mean some expenditure, but it will justify itself by clearing all foreign matter out of the engine before it passes through the main bearings. The De Laval separator will still be necessary, the Tecalemit filter will be removed after engine dynamometer test. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
