CAM GEARS LTD. CONTINUATION SHEET. 20.12.32. We believe that you will get even better results from our gear, as, whereas there is a small rubbing contact with the Weller Gear, the steering which we propose to supply to you is fitted with a roller for the cam contact, which gives a rolling action instead of a rubbing contact. The life should be even longer that that obtained with the Weller Gear and there are other advantages in our gear of which we have already informed you. The cheaper forms of the Bishop Gear are not fitted with a roller, but merely have a line contact with the cam, but in spite of this the pressures are so low that the gears will stand up to an exceptionally long performance before any adjustment is necessary. Yours faithfully, For CAM GEARS LIMITED, R.{Sir Henry Royce} Pentony Director. Enclosure. Sketch. | ||
