The Experimental Dept. have now finally decided in favour of the 7 to 1 reduction as against the 10 to 1. instructed in accordance with R's latest requirements. After giving the matter full consideration, the Experimental Dept. are now satisfied that the 7 to 1 is perfectly satisfactory and meets all requirements, and represents a reduction on which we have done sufficient work to feel we know its limitations thoroughly.
