86073 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/MA. 26th January, 1934. Mr. E.A.Watson, Messrs.Joseph Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, Birmingham, 19. Dear Mr.Watson, In connection with direction indicators I have long felt that one requires a really reliable tell tale to assure you that the semaphore arms are working and are lit up. I am sending you a scheme which as far as I can see is infalliable but which I expect you must have already thought of. If perchance you have not I want to patent it as a refinement to existing indicators. In any case I want you to consider having a scheme made up experimentally for fitting to Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars for trial. What are your views on the matter? Yours sincerely, Sketch enclosed. | ||
