With reference to your note of July 3rd in which you suggest that Mr Bailey should make a rough drawing of an arrangement for testing axles, in order that you may judge whether it will be a satisfactory way of obtaining the information we desire, Mr Bailey will put this work in hand shortly. In discussing this matter with Mr Platford it occured to me that a rather different construction could be put upon Mr Platford's sheet to which you refer. 1.
