Referring to your letter of the 16th April.

The above is the sketch of apparatus we use.
The centre of the diagram is practically in the centre
of the stroke as you will see from the attached sketch.
We will give you an enlarged print of the way the indi-
cator drum is driven from the T. lever. The object of
the T. lever is to enable us to accomodate any length
of arm and both hands of shock absorbers with the minimum
difficulty. Our con. rod is so long that we also nearly
get S.H.M. We cannot believe the Delco diagrams are
right. We always find that if there is a viscosity
factor in the valve, i.e. the pressure rises appreciably
