11th June, 1937.

For Mr. Leslie's attention.

Dear Mr. Leslie,

I thank you for your letter of the 9th inst., and we will go into the cost of dampers and let you have a price within the next few days.

We are quite satisfied with the disc on the small bearing, and we have not had any leaks there on the Mazac.

You will not have had any more small plugs blown out as they have been screwed in as suggested by you some time ago. Providing these have not leaked - which was our fear - these should be perfectly satisfactory.

We are obtaining the time that it will take to produce a die for the casting of casings.

This die should, I think, be made to take aluminium; it would then be capable of taking the Mazac. If, however, as I understand, it is made for Mazac it will not be suitable for aluminium.

Regarding the auto-locking device, we are going to try this out in the aluminium casing as it is a much larger diameter than what you used, and providing the pressure is not too high it should work just as well in the aluminium as the piston does in the cylinder. However, if we find it does not it is an easy matter to put a bush in this portion.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. THE GORDON ARMSTRONG
PATENT SUSPENSION CO.LTD.

Gordon Armstrong
