re. "New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I" Chassis. Servo Effectiveness.

I have handled three cars recently on which it was found that the servo was not working satisfactorily, owing to the top pin of the equalising lever of the servo gear not having been fixed in the correct way round.

Could not the design of this pin be re-considered so that the pin could not go other than the correct way round, so that clearance would be obtained whichever way the pin was fixed.

We have also experienced trouble with the servo brake becoming less effective, owing to the halo surfaces becoming slightly contaminated with oil, and suggest that consideration might be given still further to prevent any tendency of oil which may overflow from the gear box getting on to this mechanism.

There is the possibility of oil coming from the servo shaft bearing, and also oil escaping from the change gear tube bearing in the tower of the gear box.
