X8560 W.T. GLOVER & CO.LTD. MANCHESTER. ROY {Sir Henry Royce} /GEA7/EELO.5.28 ---"SM"--- May 25th 1928. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, With further reference to your letter of the 10th inst. regarding the tests you recently carried out on two lengths of our 7 mm. high tension wire. These samples have now been examined and we find the surface markings to which you refer have been caused by the presence of slight traces of moisture during vulcanisation. This effect is purely superficial, and does not intrinsically affect the cable. On the 17th Jan. last we submitted to you a sample length of flexible (type B) insulated with pure and special V.I.R. which we would strongly recommend you to adopt instead of the type we have previously supplied to you, both from the point of view of higher breakdown values and considerably improved ageing properties. A Quotation is being posted to you today for various types including the above, which we trust will receive your favourable consideration. Yours faithfully, FOR W.T. GLOVER & COMPANY LTD., Acting Joint Sales Manager. FF/G. | ||
