-2- (3) WINDSCREENS. The ash base would have been dispensed with, and the glass carried down to the scuttle, which it would curve to fit, but in the short time allowed to build the body, there was not time to make these shaped frames. (4) INSTRUMENT BOARD BRACKETS. These came in quite well and made a very rigid job. When the coachbuilder gets used to them he will like them. Since the nameplate was not fitted, and a thermometer was required, we were compelled to slightly re-arrange the instruments on the board. (5) The scuttle up-sweep has been made 1/4" more than we called for. The work had gone too far when I first saw the body, to have this altered. The scuttle was also slightly longer than designed. (6) The forward body bracket made a rather unsightly hole in the valance. We have remedied this for future cars. (7) Messrs. Hoopers have departed from our drawing somewhat in putting more roll over the back squabbing than we called for. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
