1153 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/JH. 19th. January, 1940. O.{Mr Oldham} Bowden, Esq., Castle Bromwich Aeroplane Factory, Kingsbury Road, Erdington, BIRMINGHAM.24. Dear Mr. Bowden, Thank you very much for letting us try the car with the Cotal gearbox on Wednesday. We have, of course, in the past had several opportunities of trying Cotal boxes, but your version of it was quieter than any of the others. The magnetic clutches were also sweeter. We should very much like to avail ourselves of your kind offer to let us have prints, and I believe you said a box to test. Before going further with the matter, however, we should very much like to come over and have a look at the bits and pieces and ask a few questions. Would Friday of next week the 26th. instant be convenient, otherwise sometime during the following week. Yours sincerely, | ||
