X.3604cr {Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} - PRODUCTION TEST OF GOSHAWK PAPER CONDENSER FOR BATTERY IGNITION. X.4430.

Further to our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T13.7.23, it has now been demonstrated to me by the Production Dept. that the majority of the condensers are subject to leaks (i.e. will not hold the charge appreciably) at a temperature of 50°C, and for this reason capacity limits at this temperature are of less value.

Therefore it has been decided to lower this temperature to 45°C, at which temp. it is found that practically all the condensers can be measured for capacity without being subject to appreciable leakage.

Item No.10 therefore in the specification of production test of condenser, issued under cover of our above mentioned note, should now be in accordance with the attached half sheet.
