Herewith a revised specification of this car including a few additions to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/AP.22.11.37. Of these alterations the front roll rod and radiator filler are the most awkward items. The others are merely repetition of short memos already sent to you.

CHASSIS.

(1) Silent-bloc bush (Rear Spring) FCD.73.
(2) Threaded shackles FCD.73.
(3) Rear axle buffers FCD.100.
(4) Firth's road spring FW.1352.
(5) Side spare wheel carrier FCD.84.
(6) FCD.79 Modification to steering gear to increase clearance with engine. F.W.1486 Bolt. F.W.1487 Nut.
(7) FCD.98 Extra lugs on pendulum lever.
(8) FCD.94 Stiffened flange on bottom support bracket.
(9) DCD.126 Horn button.
(10) FCD.103 Modified controls.
(11) Roller follower made by Hoffmanns, supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}
(12) Centre steering lever GW.1600 with side steering tube to suit.
(13) Springs for rear S.S.tube joint to be supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}
(14) Yoke pieces machined to Ex.S.82.
(15) Preload of steering gear to be as follows:-

(a) Due to cam bearings alone 3/4 - 1 lb.
(b) Extra preload due to tight spot 1/2 - 3/4 lb.
(c) Total preload 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 lb.

Bedding of all steering ball joints to be examined to make sure radius of balls is less than radius of pads i.e. bedding should be towards neck of ball pin.
