We are in receipt of your telegram reading:-
NOW WITH FRONT BRAKE DAMPING SPRING ON INSIDE OF DRUM WITH NO SHUDDERS AS ON FORTY FIFTY. ROBOTHAM. We have complied with this, and at the present moment there is a slight squeak from the brakes.

Re the hypoid axle, we again examined this last night and the condition is about the same. We are losing a fair amount of oil through the bearing. There is a definite overrun period at 45 M.P.H. which is becoming more noticeable.

The front of the car is not sufficiently damped, and the wings and radiator are very unsteady. It is a definite mistake to hang head lamps on to the frail wing stays.

The car generally is running very well, and up to the present we have no other serious faults. The running of the engine is precisely the same as when it left Derby. Up to now there is no sign of the engine feet allowing the engine to have any undue movement.
