To C. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} X180 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG11.5.28. 15-EX CAR. X7770 With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG10.5.28. As this type of car is not yet on production, the Repair Dept. have no information about it. We have therefore agreed to put our suggestions forward as regards how this car should be built. We recommend that it is rebuilt as a P.2.B. series chassis. This will mean scrapping the bonnet, dashboard, steering and pedals. It could then be built as either a long or short chassis. The steering, pedals, dashboard and bonnet could be used on a G.2.B. chassis. We cannot re-build 15-EX as a G.2.B. chassis because on that series we shall have different hubs and wheels, and different type rear brakes. 15-EX is fitted with the high compression head. This compression should only be used on an open car. The head of course is interchangeable with the low compression head. The frame which was smashed on 15-EX had a special fitting at the rear for the sports type of rear wheel carrier. This of course need not be on the new frame. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
