R.R. 403A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expt. No. 4229 4580 REF: Hsl/LG19.10.23. from the petrol consumption which was taken with an ordinary flow meter. Under the circumstances, distribution may affect the results quite as much as the efficiency of the combustion chamber. The mechanical efficiencies for this engine were slightly higher than those we have previously obtained. Even so they are not good. We have included the average mechanical efficiency of every test we have taken on Goshawk engines with the Indicator so far so that it can be compared with the last series of tests. One would be inclined to say that Goshawk ll. pistons have rather a high friction value. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
